Liberty Christian Academy

A ministry of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Guin, Alabama

“And I will walk in liberty; for I seek

thy precepts.”  Psalm 119:45

We believe:

  1. 1.the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God; (we only use the King James Bible)

  2. 2.that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;

  3. 3.in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth, and His vicarious death through His shed blood, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory;

  4. 4.that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential;

  5. 5.in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life;

  6. 6.in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the lost unto the resurrection of damnation, and the saved unto the resurrection of life eternal;

  7. 7.in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith

Our goals are:

  1. 1.to teach that God is the Creator and the Sustainer of the universe;

  2. 2.to teach that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth to die for our sins;

  3. 3.to teach that the Bible is the only Word of God.  It is practical and important;

  4. 4.to teach the application of biblical ethics and standards of morality in every part of daily life;

  5. 5.to teach the student to manifest fairness, courtesy, kindness, and respect to his elders;

  6. 6.to relate various subject matters to the truth of the Bible;

  7. 7.to teach the student to stand up for and apply personal convictions in the face of pressure;

  8. 8.to teach the student to work independently and cooperatively;

  9. 9.to develop the creative skills of the student;

  10. 10.to teach the knowledge and skills required for future study or occupational competence;

  11. 11.to teach our students to love our American heritage and to recognize the current problems facing our country.

Educational Objectives

Liberty Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to the students of the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, and national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletics, and other school administered programs.

Admissions Policy

  1. 1.Secure a school brochure and application for admission from the school office.  Complete the application form, and return it to the office.
  2. 2.An interview will be arranged for the student and both parents with the administrator.

  3. 3.Upon the completion of all admission procedures and the payment of the registration fees, parents will be notified of acceptance.  All new students are received on probation basis to allow for adjustments to our standards and procedures.  An entrance examination will be given to all new students.

  4. 4.When you sign the enrollment application, you agree to the following: I understand that the policy for the school is to make no refunds on registration, book, or course fees.  Curriculum fees will be refunded only if the student is not accepted by the school.  I give Liberty Christian Academy permission for my child to take part in all school activities, including bus trips, sports activities, and school-sponsored trips away from the school premises.  I also believe that discipline is necessary for the welfare of each student, as well as for the entire school.  I give permission to my child’s teacher and/or other agents of the school to make and enforce classroom regulations in a manner consistent with Christian principles and discipline set forth in the Scriptures.  I understand this discipline may include paddling.  I further agree to hold the school and its agents harmless for any liability to my child or any guardian or parent thereof because of claims on behalf of my child against the school or any agent thereof because of any injury or alleged injury to my child.

  5. 5.The enrollment application must be signed by a parent, legal guardian, person responsible for school bill, or by the student if the student is above the compulsory school age and meets all other requirements for admission.

  6. 6.Liberty Christian Academy holds that the Bible is the infallible, divine Word of God and that salvation by faith in Christ is the initial step in the Christian life.  There is adequate biblical basis for the idea of Spiritual growth into the image of Christ (Romans 8:29), which is the work of the Holy Spirit (II Corinthians 3:18).  This growth begins with the initial act of saving faith and continues throughout life.  The Holy Spirit make the Christian conscious of the biblical demands for a holy life which fulfills both God’s moral law and high law of love (Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 13:8-10; Galatians 5:14.)  The result is a life consecrated unto God and separated from the world.  A sense of the need for spiritual growth in the light of these principles has led Liberty Christian Academy to adopt the following standards which are conducive to the environment that will best promote the spiritual welfare of the student.  The school, therefore, requires each student...whether at home, school, or elsewhere...

  7. 1.to refrain from swearing, attendance at movie theaters, indecent language, smoking, drinking, alcoholic beverages, the abuse of drugs, gambling, dancing, involvement in rock music, touching or over familiarity with the opposite sex.

  8. 2.to maintain Christian standards in courtesy, kindness, morality, and honesty.

NOTE: A parent-student handbook is available at the school office for $5.00.  This handbook gives details about our school’s stand on patriotism, discipline, and correction of student behavior.

Admissions Procedures

Students and parents are expected not only to be a member of a Bible-believing church, but also to attend that church faithfully.  That church and its pastor needs to teach salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone.  That church must not teach that any sacraments, baptism or any works of man are a part of or add to salvation.
